A collection of 1 minute digital video tartan design backdrops (series of 20). Each piece slowly builds from the core tartan design by animating the tartan pattern warp & wefts (the vertical and horizontal lines that interweave to form the overall design).
Each tartan is associated with a famous Scottish person, ranging from inventors to comedians. The final pieces have a description overlayed with tartan name, famous person & their accolade.

George Heriot (1563–1624) was a Scottish goldsmith & philanthropist. He is chiefly remembered today as founder of George Heriot's School, his name has also been given to Heriot-Watt University, as well as several streets (and one pub) in Edinburgh.
